2. What speeds can I expect?
Cruise roaming networks currently support 3G / 4G. The data speed may vary depending on different devices and the waters where the cruise ship is located. You are advised to disable any automatic software updates on smartphones, tablets or laptops as these updates may take up a large bandwidth of your connection, hence slowing down data roaming speed.
3. What services are available from the cruise data roaming pass?
Cruise data roaming pass covers data usage on cruise roaming networks. dial “+852” plus phone number to call or send SMS to Hong Kong. 4. I am a prepaid customer, so can I use the cruise data roaming pass?
No. The cruise data roaming pass is only available to designated csl / 1O1O postpaid customers.
5. How do I know when the cruise roaming service has been switched off?
The service will be available while sailing in international waters. Once the ship approaches land again, the service is turned off and the mobile device will pick up local service.

Terms and Conditions for the Cruise Data Roaming Pass
1. The cruise data roaming pass for cruise roaming service (the “Service”) is charged per SIM card, per day*, per applicable cruise** roaming network. You can use this Service to send/receive emails, text or browse the internet when you are cruising. *per day means 24 hours after the Service activation. **please visit the link http://www.hkcsl.com/en/cruiseroaming/#cruise-list for the applicable cruise to use the Service.
2. The Service is only available to csl personal postpaid service plan customers (the “Eligible Customers”). The Eligible Customers must activate IDD roaming service and purchase the cruise data roaming pass in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“Hong Kong”). By registering the Service, you understand and agree that you may only use this Service via the applicable roaming operators of the applicable cruise referred to in Clause 1 herein, which may be updated by us from time to time without prior notice on our website at http://www.hkcsl.com/en/cruiseroaming/#cruise-list.
3. This Service is valid for 3 months upon subscription (“Validity Period”). All remaining entitlements will be forfeited upon expiry of Validity Period, and prevailing roaming rates will apply.
4. The Service includes a data cap of 1GB per day per applicable cruise roaming network. Once daily data usage reaches 1GB, the data speed will be capped at 512kbps.
5. Upon the Eligible Customers subscribing to the Service, CSL Mobile Limited (“CSL”) will send them a Short-Message-Service to confirm the activation of the Service.
6. The Service is available only while the applicable cruise is sailing in international waters. Once the applicable cruise approaches land, the applicable cruise roaming network provider reserves the right to determine when to discontinue the Service. The mobile device may also automatically attempt to connect to a local mobile network.
7. The cruise roaming network which supported this Service is provided by our roaming partner(s). The Eligible Customer acknowledges that the Service may be subject to the Internet traffic conditions, local conditions, hardware, software and/or other conditions which may arise. You are advised to disable automatic software updates on your devices, as these updates may consume significant bandwidth and reduce the data roaming speed.
8. CSL is not responsible or liable for any issues, interruptions, failures or deficiencies related to the provision or performance of the Services, including but not limited to the connectivity, suitability, quality or coverage.
9. Unless otherwise specified, this Service shall not be used in conjunction with any other discount, offer or promotion and is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash or other products or services.
10. Eligible Customers who terminate their mobile service accounts before expiry of Validity Period shall be deemed to have forfeited such entitlement, and CSL shall not be responsible for any such forfeiture.
11. CSL reserves the right to suspend or terminate or vary the Service and/or amend these terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) at any time without notice, especially in case where the roaming partners discontinue cooperation with CSL or where suspension or termination is required due to circumstances, including, but not limited to, the local governmental orders, requests, administrative requirements, law and rules and regulations imposed on the roaming partners.
12. These Terms and Conditions are an inseparable and integral part of the mobile communications service agreement.
13. If there is any discrepancy between the mobile communications service agreement and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
14. In case of any dispute, the decision of CSL is absolute and final.
15. The Terms and Conditions set out herein are governed by the laws Hong Kong. The Eligible Customers agree that any difference, dispute, request or claim arising out of or in connection with the Terms and Conditions shall be irrevocably and unconditionally submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
16. No person other than the Eligible Customer and CSL shall have any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623 of the laws of Hong Kong) to enforce or benefit from any provision of these Terms and Conditions.
17. In the event of any discrepancies between Chinese and English versions, the English version shall prevail.
