Q: What’s the audio quality for songs on Newsic?
A: Most of the music in the Newsic library are 320kbps, although some songs are 128kbps.

Q: Can I enjoy my music offline?
A: Aside from streaming music online, you can download music and playlists to your mobile for offline use.

Q: How do I download music and playlists from the Newsic app?
A: On the article screen, swipe left a few times at the top to display the related playlist; you can then download the full playlist or selected songs here.

Q: Can I enjoy my music only on Wi-Fi?
A: Click “Settings”, turn on “Wi-Fi usage only”. While it’s on, you won’t be able to use mobile data to connect.

Q: I’m getting an error messagesaying my service has been suspended. What do I do?
A: Newsic is only available to 1O1O customers. If your 1O1O service has been terminated or changed, you will have problems accessing Newsic. For inquiries please call the 1O1O Service Hotline on 2888 1010.

Q: How do I change my login password?
A: At the login screen, click “Forgot password”, enter your info to receive your 1O1O password.

Q: I’m already at my limit for authorised login devices. How to de-authorise a device?
A: You can authorise a maximum of 3 devices for Newsic on each 1O1O mobile service account. To de-authorise any of your devices, please press here.

Q: How do I enjoy music on my Bluetooth device?
A: Access “Settings” on your handset, choose “Bluetooth”, then click on “Pair Device” to enable access for your Bluetooth device. For devices with the Bluetooth feature only.

Q: What’s the difference between using mobile data and Wi-Fi to login?
A: When you’re logging in to Newsic:
a) If you’re on 3G or LTE mobile data, click on “Mobile Network login”, and Newsic will verify your identity on the mobile network to eliminate the need to log in with your info.
b) If you’re on Wi-Fi, please input your 1O1O mobile number and password to login.

Q: My 1O1O password is required for login. Where can I find it?
A: Your login ID is the same as your 1O1O mobile account password. If you have not yet a password. please dial *777.

A: No. Not unless you’re using mobile data to access Newsic. A Wi-Fi connection is recommended for using Newsic.

A: Newsic is only available in Hong Kong, but you can access your downloaded songs and playlists anywhere in the world.

Q: What’s the average file size of a song?
A: It depends on the length, on average, one 320kbps song takes up 10mb.
4. Technical Support

Q: What kind of devices support Newsic?
A: Newsic app on iOS is supported by iPhone, iPad, iPad mini and iPod Touch on iOS 4.3 or later; Newsic app on Android is supported by Android OS 2.3 or later. Suggested hardware configuration: 1Ghz processor or better; minimum 50mb storage space.

A: You can authorise a maximum of 3 devices for Newsic on each 1O1O mobile service account. To de-authorise any of your devices, please press here.

Q: What does this error message mean: “Your account is being used to play music on another device”?
A: Another logged-in device may still be streaming music from Newsic. Only one authorised device can be use for streaming content at any given time.
